Experience Technology: Future Day 2025 at CSA

The Concept

On Thursday, 13 November 2025, we once again opened our doors for the national Future Day.

This day gives students the chance to explore professions that often do not match typical role expectations.

This year was special for us: For the first time, we welcomed four interested girls as guests and even Brigitte from our own team, who was curious to experience what the world of electronics development feels like.

Our goal: Spark enthusiasm for technology and show how exciting and creative our work is.

The Discovery Program: Experiencing Technology Up Close

Soldering a Metal Detector

After a short welcome, we got straight to work. The task: Assemble a metal detector from a kit. For many, it was the first time holding a soldering iron. It was exciting for everyone.

With guidance from our engineer Thomas, the children learned how to position components correctly, create clean solder joints, and understand why each part matters. Step by step, a functional device emerged from a handful of components.

The big moment came when the red LED lit up and the metal detector actually detected metal. A visible success that brought big smiles.

Pizza and Chats About What They Learned

After the focused work in the morning, it was time for a well-deserved break. Together we headed to Restaurant Da Giuseppe, where we were warmly welcomed.

With crispy pizza and a relaxed atmosphere, the children exchanged their impressions:

What was the hardest part of soldering?
How does a metal detector actually work?
And what does everyday life in a technology company look like?
The casual environment gave space for questions and conversations. An important part of the day, as it showed just how curious and open the children are to new topics.

Coding Made Easy: Creative Projects with the micro:bit

In the afternoon, the next challenge awaited: Coding with the micro:bit. This small microcontroller is a real allrounder, equipped with sensors, LEDs and buttons, making it ideal for first coding experiences.

Our engineer Vanessa introduced the children to the visual programming language, which some already knew from school. First projects quickly came to life:

Blinking LEDs in different patterns
Small melodies played by the micro:bit
And even their own ideas, creatively implemented

The children learned how to link commands logically and how to troubleshoot when something did not work right away. Their pride in their own programs was clearly visible.

Voices from the Day: What the Children Loved

“I really enjoyed everything. When soldering, it was exciting to figure out where each part belongs. I also liked the programming, especially with the Micro Bit. I learned how to solder and how to program interesting things.”

“I had a lot of fun on Future Day. Thank you very much for letting me join. I especially enjoyed the programming. I learned how to place the components.”

Our Conclusion: A Day Full of Curiosity and Inspiration

Future Day 2025 was a great success for us. The children not only soldered and programmed but also discovered how creative and varied technical professions can be.

For us, days like this are more than an event, they are an investment in the future. We want to give young people the chance to discover their talents and reduce reservations about technology.

We are already looking forward to the next Future Day. With new ideas, new faces and hopefully just as much curiosity and enthusiasm.
